A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a specific e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. In other words, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled address under the same domain, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial in case you are running some business, for example. Since you may start receiving unsolicited emails, you can combine the catch-all functionality with email filters in order to receive only legitimate emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

Setting up a catch-all email mailbox will be rather easy if you have a cloud hosting with us. You can activate this option through our powerful, albeit easy-to-work-with Email Manager tool, which is built into the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will manage your web hosting account. You’ll find all the email addresses that you’ve set up listed alphabetically and to the right of each of them there will be a mini "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously notify you if a certain mailbox gets all the messages associated with a given domain name or not. With one click on the icon you can enable or disable this feature whenever you want. If there is active email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you’ll get an alert from our system. The latter will not disable/replace anything automatically or without your approval.
